Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the AIVMM App and associated website are operated by Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahila Mahasabha (AIVMM) ("we", "us", or "our"). It explains the information collected when you use the app, apply for membership, or retrieve an application, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you submit when completing a membership application, including:
- Name, parent or spouse name, mother's name, date of birth, gender and blood group.
- Aadhaar number, mobile number, email address and residential address.
- Education, occupation, family-member names and mobile numbers, and membership introducer details.
- Membership classification, payment amount and transaction or payment reference details. We do not request payment card or banking passwords in the app.
- Your photograph, uploaded from your device or captured using your camera when you choose that option and grant permission.
- Application details and status when you use Aadhaar number to search for an existing application.
If you select Save Draft, entered form details are stored locally in your browser or app web view so you can resume the form. The draft is removed from local storage after a successful submission; you may also remove it by clearing app or browser storage.
Camera Permission
Camera access is optional and is requested only when you choose to capture a photograph for your membership application. We do not access the camera in the background. A captured photo is submitted only when you complete the application submission.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Receive, verify, review and administer membership applications and membership records.
- Allow applicants to find submitted application information and generate application records.
- Contact applicants regarding their application, membership administration or support request.
- Maintain organizational records and protect the integrity of the membership process.
- Respond to privacy, correction and deletion requests.
Sharing and External Services
We do not sell personal information. Submitted membership information is available to authorized AIVMM personnel and service providers that host or support the application and database, only as needed to operate the service or meet applicable legal requirements.
The app or website also uses the following external services:
- A postal PIN-code lookup service receives a PIN code that you enter in order to suggest address details.
- A public states-and-districts data resource is loaded to offer address selections.
- Google Maps may be loaded on the Contact page, and Google-hosted fonts or related web resources may load while displaying pages. Those providers may receive standard network information such as your IP address and browser or device information under their own policies.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect submitted information, including restricted administrative access and encrypted transmission through HTTPS on the publicly available service. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.
Retention and Deletion
Membership applications and supporting records are retained for membership administration, recordkeeping, dispute resolution and applicable legal or regulatory obligations. When records are no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify them where reasonably practicable.
You may request correction or deletion of your submitted application data by emailing [email protected] with the subject "AIVMM Data Deletion Request". Please include enough information to identify your application. We may verify your identity before completing a request, and may retain limited information when required by law or necessary for legitimate recordkeeping.
Children's Privacy
The app is intended for membership applicants and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as app functionality or legal requirements change. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
